Uniformed Ladies

  • Every woman must know when and how to do a self-breast examination
  • Every woman must know when to start doing regular mammograms and breast ultrasound scans.
  • Every woman must know what to do once any abnormality is detected.
Delayed Lump Discovery

  • Every woman must know when and how to do a self-breast examination.
  • Every woman must know what to look out for when doing the BSE.
  • Every woman must know what to do once any abnormality is detected.
Delayed Lump Removal

  • Every woman should know what to do once a lump has been confirmed.
  • Every woman should know where to go to have a lump removed.
  • Every woman should have access breast lump excision services regardless of her financial status.
Untested Lumps

  • All lumps removed should be tested, every woman should know this and follow up.
  • Every woman should know where to get lumps tested.
  • Every woman should be able to have excised lumps tested regardless of her financial status.
  • All lumps should be tested within the shortest possible time.
Delayed Breast Cancer Diagnosis
  • All tests must be done on a timely manner and retrieved as soon as possible.
  • Consultations for all breast cancer cases should be done as close to pathological diagnosis confirmation as possible.
Delayed Commencement of Treatment
  • Every woman should be willing to start treatment as soon as possible.
  • Every woman should be informed of the consequences of delayed treatment.
  • Every woman should be well informed about the treatment journey.
  • Every newly diagnosed patient must have a mentor who is a breast cancer survivor and be part of a support group.
  • Every breast cancer patient should have access to treatment regardless of financial status.
